Our Purpose
Our purpose is to hold to the promise that the constitution provides in that all of us are created equal and that the United States is based upon the ideal that all people have an equal opportunity in their pursuit of happiness and individual freedom. To that end we will work to support Democrat candidates and for legislation which enhances every individual’s freedom and ability to be a viable member of our society.
Monthly Meetings
The Jefferson County Democrats meet at 6:30 PM on the Third Wednesday of each month, usually at the Jefferson County Library Annex, Madras.
What Can You Do?
- Register and Vote: This is the most important thing any of us can do. If you have questions about how to do this we will be glad to help.
- Be Involved: If the values of the Democratic Party make sense to you, please join us as a part of the Jefferson County Democratic Committee. We meet once a month. You can be as involved as desired; serving on a committee, be a precinct person, or just attend and stay informed while sharing your ideas.
Why Are We Democrats?
Democrats are every day people who know they can have a voice in the government of this country by joining together. The Democratic Party is concerned about working people, children, seniors, and the disadvantaged.
